Martha Garris Johnson was born on April 5th, 1932, in Hastings, Florida, to the late Rev. Peter L. and Gertrude Garris. She was blessed to have celebrated her 93rd birthday on April 5, 2025. Martha grew up in Hastings, Florida. As a member of St. Stephens United Methodist Church, where she served faithfully. She always met you with a big hug and smile. The reflection of her lifestyle was that of God and family, both whom she loved dearly.

Martha was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend. She received her education through the St. Johns County School District where she graduated as Valedictorian. While attending school, Martha had the privilege of being honored as Miss Hastings. She was employed as her Husbands Admin/payroll clerk, had her on home private daycare and was also employed with St John's County School District

In her spare Time she enjoyed fishing, gardening reading and spending with her family

Martha was respected and admired by all who knew her. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Alfonso Johnson Sr. She was a blessed mother of six children: Alfonso (Yvonne) Johnson Jr   Marvin (Regenia) Johnson, Verleta Johnson, Larry Johnson, Ronald Johnson, James Allen Johnson (deceased) survived by her (Sister) Drucilla Singleton. (Bonus Sons) Rodney Middlebrook, Kevin Robinson, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
