George
Harris
Jul 15, 1942 — Sep 23, 2025
Jacksonville
Only God knew George Harris time of birth and his time of death. So, when God saw him getting tired 'and a cure on earth was not to be', God put His arms around him and whispered, 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matt 11:28-29 "COME TO ME", on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 4:07pm, Baptist Medical Center South, Jacksonville, FL.
His devoted & faithful wife, Bernice, his five (5) children, Juliet, Karen, Patricia, George, and Sabrina. Three (3) of his sisters, and a brother watching via Social Media numerous grandchildren and great grands, by his side. With our eyes full of tears we watched as you transitioned from this earthly home. Although we loves you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to let us know, "HE ONLY TAKES THE BEST!"
Those left to cherish the precious memories of George, "resting in God's arms" his loving and devoted wife of 31 years, Bernice. His children: Juliet, (Stanley) White of Morristown, TN. George always worked two jobs, to provide for his family. He never grumbled. He was forced to retire in 2023 there he enjoyed life, family and watching SEC games and THE GATORS.
