Freddie Willis Atkins, Sr. was born in Palatka, FL to the late John L. and Alease Atkins. Freddie was the youngest of eight siblings and the last surviving

member of his immediate family. He is preceded in death by his sisters Dorothy Atkins, Ester Atkins and Marjorie Finley Atkins; brothers Wilford Atkins, John Atkins, Marshall Atkins and William Atkins. Freddie lived a blessed 90 years.

Freddie was a lifelong resident of East Palatka and was educated in the Putnam County school system. Freddie was a master mechanic and was a dedicated employee of Dodge/Chrysler for over 25 years. As a master mechanic, he possessed a natural ability to work with his hands and was skilled in all things with a motor. His knowledge and love for mechanics was an important part of who he was.

Freddie also enjoyed keeping lawns neat. One of his greatest joys later in life was riding the mower and often extended his kindness to neighbors by mowing their yards. These thoughtful acts reflected his generous spirit and his willingness to help others. Above all else,

Freddie was devoted to his family. His family held a special place in his heart, and the love he had for them was evident in his commitment and presence. He found meaning in the things thatmattered most to him: family, hard work, and helping others. Freddie leaves behind memories that will be treasured

by those who knew and loved him. His gentle presence, dedication to his family and acts of kindness will not be-forgotten.
