Mr. Earnest Leon Porter Jr (Junior) was born August 28, 1954, in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the late Mr. Earnest Dub Porter Sr and the late Mrs. Mary L Cross Porter of Fitzgerald Georgia.

Junior attended Monitor High School Fitzgerald, Georgia; he went on to complete his education at the Terra NYC STEM Fair in New York. Junior was married February 18, 1986, to Carolyn Howard of Fitzgerald, Georgia.

Over the years Junior bored six children, Tesa Jackson-Nevers (James), Tia Rogers, Anika Porter, Earnest Leon Porter III (Devin), Destin Johnson, and Darius Watts and two bonus children Rhonda Cooley (Rodney) and Craig Fells. Junior lived a full life, one with no regrets! He loved his family deeply and he adored all of his children. In his career Junior worked as an over-the-road truck driver. He later retired and settled in Palatka, Florida where he enjoyed scrolling on all of the social media outlets, Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok, where he stayed connected with his children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He enjoyed eating his favorite foods and sharing his empty plate after he was finished. He loved his dogs and keeping a clean house. Junior enjoyed helping others and he never met a stranger! In his quiet time, he was dedicated to getting connected with the Lord and he enjoyed sitting on his sister Kathy's porch.

On Thursday May 1, 2025, he transitioned from this life. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, the late Earnest Leon Porter III, his grandson Edward (EJ) Livatt, his siblings Bobby, Ronald, Fred, Eleanor, Gwendolyn and Brother-in-law John Melton.

His life and memories will forever be cherished by his children, grandchildren: Jacai, Tristan, Earnest IV, Jada, Quentin, Jaylen, Cameron, Simara, Tanyah, Anthony, Julius, Justin, Malia, Elijah, Mariah, Jayce, Nylah and a great-grandson Sekani. Siblings: Freddie Bostick (Rose), Keith White, Johnny Truesdell, Gloria Smalls (Frank), Kathy Melton, Patricia Porter (Cheryl Outler) Special Acknowledgment: Sherya Bellamy, Lelia Bostic Haynes, Celestine Cross, LaLa Coley, Sabrina Eubanks, Pearl Mitchell, Randy Jenkins, Billy Golden, Kenneth Golden, Issac Cross, Mr. Bill & Brenda, Beverly Southerland, Sam Hickson, the Ferguson Family, the Knoxville TN Family, and the Fletcher Family; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
