Doris Mosley, 96, a native of East Palatka, entered the sunset of life Wednesday, November 16, 2023, at HCA Florida, Putnam Hospital.
Doris is the daughter of Willie and Ola Holder. Born July 20, 1927, she was educated in Palatka, Fla. She gave her life to God at an early age and attended Mt. Olive A.M.E Church and Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.
In 1950, she moved to Miami and joined Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, where she joined the choir, Deaconess board and Missionary Society.
She returned home in 1998 and joined Bethlehem Baptist Church. Doris' hobbies included cooking baking cakes crossword puzzles fishing but most of all reading her Bible, praising the Lord and spending time with her family.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Ola Holder; husband, Earnest Mosley; son, Clarence (Barbara) Holder; sisters, Mable Hills, Eva Mincy, Joan Grimsley, Martha Holder and Margaret Holder.
Doris leaves behind a profound legacy of her contribution on this earth will be remembered for generations to come and her impact on those who knew her will forever be cherished.
She leaves behind two sisters, Marion Mcgriff, Hurshel Thomas; and like a son, Gary McGriff;
and a host of loving relatives, cousins, friends and acquaintances.
