Agnes Clay Lee Addison was born May 8, 1936, in Orangeburg, SC to the late Marion Lee and Goldie Benjamin. She was educated in the local schools of Orangeburg, SC and Seville, FL. Her only marriage was to Joseph Allen Addison, Sr (deceased March 13, 1997).

She was a long time residence of Crescent City and she worked several different jobs (oranges, potatoes, ferneries, housekeeping, laundry, etc., in the Crescent City area, until she retired. Her retirement gave her the opportunity to enjoy and raise quite a few of her grandchildren. Several of them call her "Mama" still today. Crescent City, a place where her roots grew deep and wide, touching the lives of many.

In 2016, she was relocated to a long term care facility in Daytona Beach, FL.

There she was as humble as she was any where else. Her demised was Monday, April 10, 2023 at 7:37pm. Advent Health, Daytona Beach, FL.

Preceded her in death: her ex-husband, Joseph (Buddy) Addison, Sr, mother Goldie, father Marion 1972, brother James 1990, sister Annie Mae 2005 (they were like two peas in a pod, if you saw one you see the other, never living far apart, having children so close together; they were inseparable) five children Johnny 2003, Henry 2010, Roosevelt (brother/son) Don, Prenell, Charles & Sammy.
Her greatest past-time was fishing and playing cards with friends and family.

Even when she became disabled she loved to sit out on the dock or fish creek in her wheelchair mingling with friends and cheering as they pulled the "BIG ONE" in. Her special circle of FRIENDS living and passed: Shirley, Evelina, Edna, Margie, Alice, Almetia, Lula, Ruth, Frances, Emmet, and Annie Mae.
